Newstopica: Doesn't build content

Hi,

Very strange -- my Newstopica doesn't save the news. Every time it updates the old news disappears. I don't delete it. The script only keeps one single page of news (20 items).

What went wrong? Is there something wrong with the cron?
Set to run every 24 hours:
..../admin/dir_importrss.php
..../admin/delete_old_news.php

Strangely enough, there is nowhere in my admin panel to specify the delete date.

Aside from te cron job, where else should I start trouble shooting?

BTW, I have version 2.0.0 RC5.2, and would prefer to keep it that way due to the customization work.

I would suggest you do update to 2.01.
If all you did was customize the templates of the front end, it should not mess up your work if you don't edit those files.

So, I customized six templates: calender, header, footer, link, main and top_bar. Can I just keep using those files in 2.01? for sure ;-)

Let me add one point...
We will have a new Newstopica based on phpLD 3.04 in around 2-5 days if all goes smooth.
If you can spare the time, it might be good to wait til then.
If not, I wasn't sure if you had already obtained a copy of 2.01.
