Dear friends. Congratulations for the new release, but it still lacks some important things that are really annoying.
1. There is no way to open the link page from the admin panel - instead of a link there is jscript overlay with info. I suggest you to replace it with a link and put a column with a list icon and hovering over it to display the info in the overlay window.
2. It is more important to see the link page rank rather than the site rank in the list
3. There is no way to send warning notification to the oweners of the links that are no longer valid. I prefer first to send notification and wait few days before deleting them.
4. There is some problem with the link validation that does not find links that are present. I will investigate it deeper and give you more information. I still can not find the reason.
5. There is no way to disable link validation using ID - to have standart links ...
Thank you in advance. You have done a good job.

Thanks for all the helpful hints phillicon.
Most of what we do here is based on support from our users, so we will try to work on these items. If you can, it would be great if you could make a small donation (link at right), as this will help us pay the programmers to make these and other improvements.
Thanks,
David

I'm assuming you're using RC4? I'm not one of thje developers here but I am using the script and have an interest in helping to debug it.

Actually, there is. Right click on the link and select either Open or Open in new window.
Content visible to registered users only.
What list? and what do you mjean by "site rank"?

Yes there is. Go to Emailer | Send email from the Admin top menu.
Content visible to registered users only.
I think there's already a thread on this issue...

I don't understand this... can you elaborate?

No need to ask for that... I will.
Here are more problems
1. Validate links does not switch the link status to inactiev even if reciprocial link is not valid and the checkboxes are set ccorectly
2. What is the sense to have all links listed in validate links results? Seems only links which are not valid are enough.
3. Activate/Deatcivate, Edit , delete links are missing in the results...that makes the result table pretty useless

I am speaking here for the admin panel. Please read below:

I speak for Directory->Links. Try to open the link below the Title column! You will get : javascript:void(0);

Directory->Links. Page Rank - google page rank of the web site is listed in the "PR" column rather than the rank of the page where the reciprocial link is placed

Directory->Links. Wouldn't it be more easy to have "Send Mail" button on each item which directly opens the "Send email" page filling the mail adress from where you can choose a template ?

I will post more details after I find the reason for the problem.

In new release 4 there is unique ID for every link that is generated and which the webmaster must use and place on his web site. There is no way to use old way without IDs, Btw I was the one who is guilty for having that feature ;), but I also suggested to have a way to disable it on the first place. ;)
I hope I was clearer this time.
Best regards.

Another one
Directory->Links. When the overlay window is displayed and it happens that its position is over the mouse an annoying flickering effect happens and it is hard to keep it displayed.

Just a suggestion.
In user interface ( directory) in serach results it would be fine to have information (link - path to category) in which category is listed the link.

Content visible to registered users only.
Don't click on the title. Click on the URL next to the title.
Content visible to registered users only.
Perhaps it could be an option but I'd rather see the PR of the page that's listed. When you do an edit, you can see PR of the reciprocal link before you approve.

Sure, if there's room for it... I already have to side scroll to get to the edit buttons so I would want a whole lot more added to that table.

Content visible to registered users only.
There's a published fix for that. You change the "mouseover" to "click".
I saved the fix but I'm sorry, I didn't record the name of the person who posted it:
Open
"admin/files/tooltip.js"
Edit line 7 that reads
Content visible to registered users only.
Change to
Content visible to registered users only.
