Chrome Main Category Spacing Issue

On a fresh 4.0 install with unmodified Chrome template, on home page vertical spacing between main categories expands or contracts depending on whether a user is logged in or not. I see this on Win IE7 and Mac Firefox.

I've tried to figure out what in the css is causing this but I've gotten nowhere. Can someone confirm if I'm crazy, or if others experience this also? Anyone know how to solve it?

i see the pm. try this:

find this in your css:

table#categories tr td h2

and put margin: 0;

in there.
