Browse by location

I did a search and found a thread that implied it would take quite a bit of work to browse by location as well as category, but the last post in that thread was from 2007, so I was wondering if this is now a little easier. We want to make a directory of businesses where users can browse either way. There's a mod that will import all the locations, I saw, but couldn't find if you could browse according to those locations.

Yes, it is definitely a little easier. It somewhat depends how massive your location list is.
If it is just a few counties or cities, that is very easy to do in an organized fashion, but if it is hundreds of cities and states across the country, it just involves a little more time customizing. Overall, we have found that a "one size fits all" is not the best approach, but we have done this for a number of clients now, and it should not be more than an hour or two of customization in most cases.
