View Full Version : 100 Category Limit In 3.05?

I am adding categories to my new director (running 3.05), and I have added Category ID 100... I cannot add anymore. What is the problem?

This would be the first we have heard of this. I am aware of some upgrades that are doing fine with more than 100 categories, but I am not aware of anyone that did manual additions as you may be describing. What happens now?

When I try to add a category, the page just refreshes with the same input information listed.

Any suggestions on what could be done?

Working here. Am up to 362 Manual submissions. Well over 100 added since the upgrade.

I added the 101th entry manually in PHPMyAdmin.... 102 was fine through the admin panel.. Not sure why that happened.

Final update: After adding the 101th entry manually, the rest added without a problem. There is something wrong with adding the 101th entry.

Answer: Can you remove the viruses from your site first?

Well I just installed 3.0.5 and got the same issue when trying to create the first category. The admin page refresh keeping the information but not creating the category into the database.
Is that a bug on the last version ? thanks .

I found the solution.. it was because I was writting : restaurants nameofthecity instead of restaurants_nameofthecity into the URL title field. Now it works.

im getting the same add category problem only with a category i deleted and now it wont let me recreate it using the same info..screen just refreshes

its happened to me at 180 though. I'm adding categories up to 180, and after that it won't add anymore, just refresh the add categories page with the same information.

Any solutions for this?
