When Link Subscription Period Ends

Hi,
I am using 2.1.2 and One year ago some one submitted paid listing in to my directory, the subscription period is going to end soon.
do PHPld automatically collect subscription amount? or will I have to send an email?

subscriptions are not handled by phpLD as far as initiating payment. Paypal handles this.
