Hi,
Is there an easy way for me to upgrade to 3.05 from 3.04 without losing my database?

You won't lose your DB, all you need to do is backup your 3.04 directory in your FTP and move the 3.05 on over, just be sure to delete the 3.04 to get a fresh install, then re-mod your 3.05 and your DB will re-list all entries to the new upgrade.
if you have any questions or might be confused, let us know :)

Yes, you just overwrite all your files with the 3.0.5 files (except include/config.php), and click next all the way through install to update the database. Of course, it is always important to back everything up before performing these operations.

Won't it ask me for the DB Name etc. or do I just put the same DB Name etc?
Thanks for your help.

Correct, just do the same procedure like you did for 3.04 with the same DB name that you used for 3.04.
Keep your old config.php and when it asks for DB details you'll have them pre-selected ;) and you can click "Next"

Did this and I can't get to the install directory or login to admin. The directory seems to work though.
It shows this on the page:
Warning: Smarty error: unable to read resource: "../CORE_TEMPLATES/messages.tpl" in /home/articlel/public_html/bloglookup/libs/smarty/Smarty.class.php on line 1095
You can see it if you go to the url:
http://www.bloglookup.com
Also is that the default look?
When trying to login to admin it no longer accepts my login. It says something about MIN LENGTH
Thanks.

I ended up deleting everything and starting over again. A few minor problems but looks good. I will now try to apply a new template!
Wish me luck.

I have overwritten all files of phpLD 3.0.4 with 3.0.5. (except include/config.php). Now when i try to access the installer an eror shows as
'Warning: Smarty error: unable to read resource: "../CORE_TEMPLATES/messages.tpl" in /home/tattaman/public_html/free_web_directory/libs/smarty/Smarty.class.php on line 1095"
Please get me out of this.

Content visible to registered users only.
I tried this method, by uploading a fresh copy of files to a new directory but the same 500 error comes. I am trying to get out of this.....
