Hey all,
First off, I suggest letting this be integrated into the next release before using it.
There are a couple sorting bugs, but I don't have time to fix them right now and am going to let dcb handle that so we can go ahead and move forward rather than waiting on me to get done with my clients.
The files modified are as follows.
1. index.php
2. templates/footer.tpl
3. libs/smarty/plugins/function.pager.php
I'm not giving a run down of what I did, as I don't want you to just hack away on your system but I will provide a copy of the files I have changed. This has only been tested on a Windows machine with Apache, PHP and MySQL.
If you're feeling brave feel free to test it out and let us know. We wont be officially supporting though until it's in our next build.
Thank you for your time, and seriously consider making a donation as I can't afford to make things for free. Anything helps and is appreciated.
Url to PAGER_MOD.zip removed as the link is not working now.
Thanks

Hello :D
Sometimes there are a lot of links in categories... let's say hundreds of links, for example. Instead of listing them all in one huge page, it's common to split the links to several pages (page 1, 2, 3 etc... take a look at Google search results, for example)
Then it is easier to read and browse
Hope this helps ;)

apostle, thank you that you are working on this much needed mod. did anybody try this? i am little afraid to try it before it is official since I have over 300 links in directory.
unfortunatelly , I dont have credit card so I cant contribute directly but I will check the offers on google ads sometimes . Also I think that even though some of us cant contribute money yet, your script and site will get more and more exposure as our sites get more popular :)

I thought I would let you know that dcb is back and a new release in the websvn with this mod is imminent (could be today or tomorrow).

Yep, I'm hoping to start working in this mod as well as some of the small corrections, etc into the webSVN this week.

This one is in the process of being put in the WebSVN now.
Take a look:
{WebSVN was discontinued}
It should be done soon (but not at the time of this writing)

Ap0s7le,
Nice work... I'm having a little trouble with getting the mod implemented...I added the funtion.pager.php to the libs/smarty/plugins directory, I put the new footer in the templates directory, and I made the two changes I found in the index.php (lines 38-49, 75-114). However, nothing is changing and no pagination occurs.... I'm assuming these are the only three changes needed, however, I am not seeing any difference. I didn't want to just put the new index.php into my directory because it has some other mods applied to it, so maybe I missed something. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Frioden

Went back and just put the new index.php into my directory and voila, works like a charm....however, the rate it mod now no longer works....wonder if they don't play well together....sorry for the confusion....

These are both features that we are starting to integrate into the WebSVN. I'll bet if you give it a little more time, we'll have them both working.

Hi,
I don't get it really.
I went to WebSVN and downloaded the new files and followed the steps that frioden wrote but nothing happened and I noticed that the files are not newer but the same that I already had.
The "new" index file that is being talked about is last modified "11 July". It sure cannot be this. I clicked on "Tarball" to download but maybe this is wrong. Please help out, I would love to get this mod. Thanks.

Jim,
I don't think it has been integrated yet into the tarball...on the first post in this thread, apostle has put a link to the mod...download it as it has the necessary files....it has two files to place in the different directories, and then two changes (mentioned in my first post) to add into your ndex.php....
hope that answers your question,
Frioden

Thank you Apostle for supplying this fix and to Jim Westergren posting this thread in another thread that I found first with the search function.
I just upgraded to RC5.2 and this bug seems to still exist in that distribution.
