phpLD Homepage and Frontend Changes

We made a few improvements today to the homepage. We moved most of what was previously on the left side up to the top in a new nav bar, and centered the content. Do you like it?

I get the new navigation but in the top right corner of the screen. I'm pretty sure that's not right. IE7 Win xp

Yes, thanks for the report about IE7. We are going to solve that one right away.

Works ok now.
If i'm honest i preffered it the way it was before. Maybe it would look better (imo) if the new nav bar was under the tabs.

Thanks for the feedback. We aren't done yet, and we may try under the tabs. We have a new header coming in shortly too. The we'll look again. Main goal is to get the content on the left side instead of a menu.

OK. I'll revise my opinion when you make the changes. I'm probably getting to be an 'old stuck in the mud' as i get older :).

Much better. The user bar has contrasting colours making it much easier to read. Great header background. Love the colour(s) of the tabs. Could be (slightly) rounded (personal preference). Search bar could be vertically centered with or same size as tabs. Section headings look good although the text could be white to match the tabs text or the other tab colour.

Overall very pleasing on the eyes, easy to read easy to navigate.

Thank you. We have a little more to do still including some fine tuning of the design, and also a new Demo section. Your tips are appreciated. For example one thing we are going to do is line up the main content on the left with the first tab on the left.
