Batch Updates to Existing Links

Hi, I recently took over an existing forum and there are a large number of spam links that I would like to get rid of.

I am looking to upgrade to the latest version and just want to know if it has a batch update function? Or if there is anyway to review, filter or update a large number of links at the same time?

Similarly, I would like to update the categories in bulk as well.

At the moment I can only see 2 options for the above tasks: updating one by one in the admin area or batch updating directly in the MySQL database phpMyAdmin console (which has limited options for filtering).

Please advise what additional options there are in reviewing/approving links or categories.

For links there is a "check all" at the bottom, and there are a number of functions once you check all such as
Remove
Remove as Spam (bans their ip and email)
Change the Category
Approve

We have some similar buld features for categories.
