Adding picture and flash to link

I have been trying to add a picture and a flash video on a link but I get the red flashing bar saying :
" This field must have minimum 0 characters and maximum 500 characters."

Even though I do not have over 500 characters, also I can see the picture and video when I click preview, but I cannot when I view the directory page.
Any suggestions?
