I made the mistake of cheaping out on directory software not bothering to do the due diligence – sure it was cheap ($12) but the lack of support (documentation is a 404 page lol! and support forum web site “has been suspended” lolol) just proved the old adage.

Luckily, I only have about a dozen or so links. But I’d like to preserve the information including date added, etc. Is there any way to do this?

Generally, how do you find the support for PHPLD (from forum members and PHPLD staff) if you just bought the $30 license?

Quick follow up question ... how effortless is it to setup locally running Windows? I found with that other script I believe the SEO rewrite mod in .htaccess really threw it off. Also, I had to modify the root location saved in the database for it to run properly locally.

Hi,

Support is provided by myself on a full time basis :)

The second question is I have set it locally using many LAMP packages many times with no hassles.
If using Xaamp or any other server set up that uses apache then the mod rewrite will work.
If using IIS7 microsoft has a free addon that allows the htaccess to be imported and it works also.
You also have the choice to use non-seo urls.
I do not think you will have to make any core edits for it to run provided you do not have some exotic configuration.
