save the mysql database to your harddrive -> open with a text editor -> copy only categories table (sorry dont know the table name but shouldnt be hard to spot)
--> Install new directory -> login to phpmyadmin -> paste what you copied from other database as an sql query -> should now have the same categories
in theory that should work

hmm, i can't seem to figure out how to get all the info from the table, but i'm really not that good with phpmyadmin. should i be saving the whole database? i CAN find categories in the file when i open it in a text editor, but i can't seem to sort out the whole table, it seems to be "random" or all over the place.

Hi dpakman91,
If you would be interested in my help with this we can talk privately concerning cost.
Also, if you want to keep your directory private could you PM me the location and if not shown, the name of the scripts you're currently using?
If you're interested let me know, feel free contacting me via the messengers below.
Thank you for your time.
