will this script work on godaddy hosting?

In addition to all Posix functions, these PHP functions have been DISabled on godaddy servers:

* fpassthru
* file
* exec
* system
* passthru
* popen
* crack_check
* crack_closedict
* crack_getlastmessage
* crack_opendict
* fsockopen
* psockopen
* opendir
* readdir
* closedir
* phpinfo

Nope, it will not work in those conditions.

They don't even allow fsockopen? Most php applications that deals with internet connectivity or ftp will not work without it.

From what i have heard godaddy doesn't allow too many features in their scripting languages. I think this is because they are trying to keep security high, but the unfortunate side effect is the capabilities are severely hampered. I didn't realize their php is so locked down.

Lets face it, GoDaddy has an ego problem. Why else would they be named GoDADDY? haha

Just for the heck of it and for testing purposes, I set up Economy Hosting w/ PHP...and its working fine for me

I recently helped out another user that was having some issues. Their subdomain wouldn't redirect, but the phpLD script in the root through goDaddy worked fine, with .htaccess. Although, I wouldn't recommend them for hosting of any sort, lol.. I was granted access to said user's control panel, yuck, not much to do in there.
