An error occured while saving the link.

Hi,
I got the message saying "An error occured while saving the link." on the merchant coupon submit link. What did I miss the problem? Let me know so I can fix it out. (I bought the Merchant Coupon file yesterday and I installed them in today.)

That would be my mod, but no one has contacted me regarding any issues. I suggest you double check your edits (as mentioned in the email I sent with the mod) and if you installed on 4.1, then it won't be the mod anyway as all the additional submit items are handled in admin. Make sure you made the correct edits for you version (as identified in the named folders in the ZIP).

Yes, I contacted with Bruce for purchasing his Mod Merchant Coupon file from him. I will re-check the ZIP file like Bruce suggested. If I still have problem, I will PM him.

It was a misunderstanding of the instructions which state:

7c) Make a note of the LINK_TYPE value you just created by rolling over the pencil icon in the Available Link Types menu. You will need to add that when you come to the detail.tpl edit. (MARKED WITH ^^^^^).

AND Later,

REPLACE '^^^^^' below with the LINK_TYPE VALUE FROM STEP 7C:

Quite clear I think, but you basically need to insert the value of the new link type (as seen at the end of the URL displayed in your status bar when you roll over the pencil icon in admin) into the position marked in the edit you make to detail.tpl.
