Well, this is my first template design. It is based on the professional template so i wont claim template rights. :p But the design is mine.

It is free for download and use as long as you keep the design link in the footer. (but can be removed, contact for details)

Ok now im looking for some constructive criticism, Dont be shy as i want to know what people think of the templates and you wont hurt my feelings. :p

They are dark themed but that was what i was going for. I dont want to create more if no one would use them as i can always change style. :D

Just trying to get something different out there.


Edit: Well maybe i can change style, :p As i am a big fan of dark themes. :D

You're getting there.

Just a personal preference, but I would like to see people getting away from the standard, 'column left, column right, menu top, categories centre' approach, as I think ultimately, they all pretty much look the same these days.

One improvement on the red one would maybe improve the colour depth of the images when you create them to prevent striping and make the fading a lot smoother, unless of course that was intentional. I tend to use PNG's, which I know is not much good for older browsers, but does make layering and shadows a lot cleaner.

The menu rollover also needs a little tightening to prevent the following items moving over.

I will work on the images a little more as i just figured out Corel paint shop pro, <--(Think i was just making it harder than it is). :p And i will pad back the rollover a little as i noticed that also.

Padding issue solved on rollover and Template css updated. ;)

Still working on cleaner images :confused: :)

There is a problem on the professional grey template, when you add link categories, then select them, the Home selection in the navigation gets fouled up....

If you add your forum user name to your phpld account any issues with this template can be handled in the 3.x and 4.x forums.
