Thanks for the article, frankly you said it all but you always can find a way to have a new twist, i mean you are right but keeping doing the same routine will do no good. i owned more than 90+ directory (flipping). two years ago i used to build up a directory from scrach and snap that PR4-PR5 easily then sell it for good money...later things changed!! never the same specially when those junkers started to know a new methods creating a new directory out of a dropped domain!! well i used it several times thinking it is a good way until you realize this will harm your reputation.

I admit things not like before but not that bad either speically when you see new features coming out of PHPLD helping you to widen your site functionalities.

I just logged in to my Health Directory (http://www.HealthChitchat.com) and saw 115 pending listings..

I never guessed that 115 useless listings about different Attorneys in different parts are America are listed there.

I used check all
glance once - uncheck one that don't look like attorney site
Remove

I just had to delete all 115 listings ..

I wonder how in the world that 115 different Attorneys hired such a crap SEO company.. Wonder what kind of service they are going to do for their clients..

hahaha dotrig.com - back in the day when I first started building web directories I had some days where I would have 300 out of 300 all spam and I think back then I had to delete them 10 at a time or maybe even individually.

Those Attorney listing are coming to every directory and they don't stop after one day..
They must have hired some dumb As* that don't know what is SEO

I get a huge amount of 'escort' type sites,, but they are mostly caught by my spam trap mod and automatically deleted.

I get the pay day loan ones as well.

Well, one good thing with owning a web directory is that you one say can sell it to someone esle :D
