Subject: cURL not spidering links

I've installed and I have a section for reciprocal links for GameTrump

and I've been submitting to other phpLD directories, and using this section for my link back..

The problem is, none of the Directories that I'm submitting to see their link back ??

the Nofollow isn't clicked..

I don't know why they don't see this.. has anyone else had this issues ? I want to do this same thing of using the phpld 2.0 scipt for link-backs on about 5 sites in total :(

thx for any help.

anyone ? I have 4 sites that I was thinking about using 2.0 as my directory and using it to show my back links, but currently, the sites I'm submitting to, don't see their link back ? :(

The problem with the way you have done your backlinks is this. phpLD validates the backlinks, but requires an exact match to the link supplied on the submit form. If the link is not copied exactly, it just does not vailidate.

I run into this problem frequently, as most of my backlinks come from blogs. Most bloggers dont know how to copy and paste code into the code of their blog templates. Instead the try adding the link through the blog admin panel, which does not validate.

so, any suggestions ? I pasted the link as it was on the site http:{test url removed}

is there anything I can do, so they recognize ?
short of just making a separate .html links page. :(

thx,
-Brandon

I dont have any suggestions for making it recognize them. I usually just put the link into my footer or something long enough to be validated, then move it to a category. Bad way to to things, but not much alternative, other than a seperate html page.

Brandon,

I am also really desperate to get help or a fix for this issue.
I really would like to use this feature but have the same problem as you.
I have tried everything but it still won't work.
The problem is with the script for sure.

Please tell me if you ever get this to work and I will do the same for you.

Submit your link partners link in your directory as {url no longer in service} leaving out any www. before and / after the link.

You should also submit your link to there site as {url no longer in service} leaving out any www. before and / after the link.

Go to System >> Edit Settings >> Site and write your *URL: as {url no longer in service}

This worked for me.
