Problems with subfolders/links and alphabet listing

Hey there!

I hope this forum is still alive to some extent.

I just installed this great script, but i am having the same problem as with this guy/girl here: ***.phplinkdirectory.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5742

I've asked my hosting and they've told me that mod rewrite is enabled on my servers. I have tried to reupload the .htaccess file several times, and turned the mod rewrite off. But i'm still having the same problem. Whenever i click on the alphabet listing on the top i get the "Page not found" error, and the same goes when I click on a word that i've added.

I hope there is someone out there to help me with this :)

I got the same problem on xampp too. I tried to search the whole forum but I couldn't get any solution. .htaccess is uploaded, apache is in re_write mode, tried mod rewrite ON& Off but couldn't solve this problem. I wish some one help me out.

I need this script very badly. I have custom made script but has no more options as this one does. Is there paid version of this script that I can get a full support with? or can any one help on this one?

I managed getting rid of the "page not found error" by adding "rewritebase/dictionary" in the .htaccess but the pages are showing with out result. I mean just blank page of the index.php.... can any one please help.
