I am using 2.0, however i believe the rpblem exists with 3+ also
Ok, now here's a quick fix...
Edit index.php and look for following line (should be the last):
Content visible to registered users only. Before this line add following code:
Content visible to registered users only.
And now remove following code from footer.tpl:
Content visible to registered users only.
The only problem that I found is when you have URL rewriting disabled and only two pages on a category, it doesn't want to go back to first page while you are browsing the second. If you have more pages and/or URL rewriting is on there are no problems, at least I could not find any. :p
Content visible to registered users only. Nope, 3.0.4+ does not have these problems ;)
It uses another, much better paging plugin.

i want 3+ so badly and i have the money now
but my new dir is so heavily modded i cant possibly switch for it :(
maybe next directory i make i will upgrade for :D
Content visible to registered users only. Yeah, it's a bit hard when upgrading a highly modified directory, but an update from phpLD 2.0 is worth a few days work. You can install and work in a subdirectory or another free domain and when you are ready overwrite, go through installer to update DB and you are ready.
I know you have enough coding experience to do it quick :)
