The pageranks for the sites that I have listed are showing up "NA". There could be a few things going on and was hoping someone could help me narrow the field.

1. I host with site5.com - does anyone else host with site5 and if so have you had the same problems

2. The default setting for pagerank is set to -1. When I try to save the setting with a null or blank value, the screen refreshes and the value is again -1.

3. When I installed phpld, I seem to remember a warning mentioning cgi and pr...does this ring a bell? And if so what can I do to fix it...short of leaving site5.

Thanks in advance for any help:D

google bans some servers from checking pagerank
your options are:
1. use a script that uses a 3rd party source to check pagerank
there was a post in the [mods] section about it i think
2. get another host
3. buy the pagerank update query tool
It might be free if you have the supporters forum membership (dont quote me on that)

Thanks for the advice...:D

Any thoughts on why the pagerank setting automatically resets itself back to -1 even when trying to save the setting with a "blank" value?

because it cant query google so it reverts back to -1
which is actually not -1 it means automatic
in your case N/A
