Hey! I like the script, big thanks to whoever made it.
Im having these problems
1) Link validation. Link is there but it does not get validated
2) Robotic visual validation. I dont think it works in firefox
None of the fixes worked. I was just wondering wheather i should just download the the older version (if it works), wait for the fix or just buy some other directory script...
Thanks!

You'll get some support shortly.
There may be some issue with your configuration.

Hello Mightyb,
What do you mean you don't think it likes boxes?
Can you send me a link to the directory?
Also admin access would be great so I can look over settings.
Hopefully we'll have you working fine shortly.
Thank you for your time

Well i tested it on one of my forums here http://www.thelocalforum.co.uk/forum/
Can you see the link in the footer? Well Directory thinks its not there. A few people i know are having the same problem. It does not matter where i put the link on my forum, it does not work. However if i link back through another page (i just created a blank one with one link) It validates it fine.
Here is my directory

Please feel free to have a look at it. Thanks!

Hello again Mightyb,
The rundown.
1. Checked your config. It was fine.
2. Submitted a link with Visual turned off and I had to copy/paste the link from the link box to my site for it to work. (Link now removed) It was put into the pending queue.
3. Submitted another link with Visual ON in Firefox. Once again, I already had the link on the site BUT it wont work unless you use the link from the link box due to it having an ID involved. It worked.
4. Once again, same as above but in IE. Worked fine.
If you don't like the ID that it's requiring than I can look into removing it for you for a donation.
Thank you for your time, and I do hope this helped you and everyone else understand the ways of PHPLD a little better.
Have a great afternoon.

Yes, it works just fine.
The proper ID has to be in the anchor.
Off to get my Dad something for his bday, be back later.
Thanks

I think i got it sorted. Basically you need to get everything right for the first time. If you get an error you need to click on add link and start all over. You can just edit the data entered and click submit again...
One issue still remains however. Link validator only sees those links that are not in the <table> for some reason. If i copy and paste the code into my header it works fine. If i paste it into one of the tables it does not get recognised... :(
Im not really bothered about my forum. Its just other phpbb forums might do what i did, get an error, give up and just move to some other directory.
Thanks for all the help!

And with regard to the requirement to use the ID, others have not liked this either (though I'm sure some do). We have work on changing this when there is time.

It seems that presence ID in reciprocal links is a problem for Link Validation and creates inconveniences for the test. I shall use probably RC3, as it works fine for me (except for sendmail, the most important options work ok). If who that has RC4 with removed ID, I could exchange with a similar Russian script which does not use Data Base and have advanced Check/Validate Link control. Sorry for my English.

I have now made the ID optional.
I'll be releasing it soon.
If you wish I can set it up on your server for a personal donation.
Thank you for your time.
