for some reason i can get ssp to run a full batch. it keeps freezing up.
now im forced to do 50 url batches
could it be converted to a api so it runs on the same server as the site?

If you have Windows hosting, then probably 'yes' as it is. If Linux,, then it would probably need a major rewrite to be compatible, which I doubt will happen.
You need to look at why it's 'freezing'. Are you sure it's not just a bad URL or two, as if it can't find a URL it tries to process it anyway and will hang for a while. It should pass over it eventually, I just ran mine for a batch of about 12,000 URL's and although it took the best part of 24 hours, it ran through without a hitch (apart from the usual IECAPT fails, which can be ignored).

iecapt.exe crashes and the software closes
and i have both time setting set to 120 sec anything les and i get no images available.
and yes my server is linux.
I'm going to rebuild a old desktop to run ssp only and hook it up to my home network. and see if my crappy laptop is the problem
and if it works i have a dedicated ssp running 24 hours a day

Hate to say it but I am about positive it is your laptop that is the issue.
You can try to upgrade to the latest Flash and Java because it may be a site running one of them that is causing the problem.
Does it crash with the 'Don't Send' error window?
