Install trouble - install\index.php on line 575

Hi there just attempted to run the install and got this error - Fatal error: Call to undefined function: adonewconnection() in x:\xxxx\install\index.php on line 575

Of the requirements the one thing that did not check out was "Session Save Path writable?" Everything else was checked ok.

Any ideas?

You need to make the session save path writeable by the webserver. You need root (administrator) privileges on the system for that.

I had the admin fix that - they're now all ticked, but once i've entered my database details i still get

What if you add this to your include/config.php file and run the installer again?

I think it's still something not working with the sessions on your server.

There's no change still getting that error.

For what it's worth the inputted database values previously entered had sucessfully updated the config file - so that part is working.

have you tried re-uploading the script and installing after they fixed the sessions?

Yes - just removed all the files, reuploaded them and still get this error.

If you would like me to speak to your admin that would be fine.
This may be a very rare case where your host does not want to be very helpful, but I hope I am wrong.

We can certainly go as far as getting your ftp and database details, and try to install it for you, and also try to talk with the server admin. This is not a common error, so it seems likely something that is strange about the configuration with your host.

So please PM me the details that I need, and I will try to help you.
