Fatal Error on new installation of phpLD2

I just uploaded phpLD2 to my server, but when I go to the /install/ directory to start the setup I get the following error:

Fatal error: Cannot instantiate non-existent class: smarty_compiler in /home/myaccount/public_html/links/libs/intsmarty/intsmarty.class.php on line 273

Did you make sure to assign the permissions to temp, adodb, templates, and cache folders?

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, I assigned those folders 777 and the include/config.php file too.

It's fixed now. I re-downloaded the entire package and started over. I noticed the zip file was a slightly different size then the first one I downloaded, so maybe the first was corrupt.
