I think there got to be an answer to this. All projects are eventually target a profit. So how Phplinkdirectory administration is going to make a profit from us? By collecting a donations? I doubt it.... By letting us update our directories manually and restrict an access to our sites eventually in order to collect some $? makes sense but least likely..... By using as as the testers and eventually build strong code of the directory which they will sell ? Most likely. What do you think?

Well, I will try to answer. I spent about 2-3 years developing this script with the help of no less than 15 programmers. It started out in peices. For example, the emailer function was created separately originally. Once I got it working really well, I decided that it would be good to let other people benefit from the work I put into it.
Believe it or not, I have mostly done this, because I want to help others. I have spent at least $3,000 on this script over time, but I have also benefited, because I have happy customers using the script, who have popular sites as a result. I have also had the opportunity to meet people who need programming or project management, so I have met new customers.
I firmly believe that when you start out with the goal of helping people, not just yourself, that in the end you will find that your business was more successful.
In that spirit, I do hope that some people will make donations to help meet the costs of improving this script, and as you can see, the money is being spent to help others.
