Promoting Your Directory

Ok, so you have setup the directory, and it looks pretty. :)
What are you going to do now?
I thought it would be nice to discuss the methods you are using to help your site get traffic and page rank. Please tell us what YOU are doing.

Hi,

I am using a number of methods to promote my Directory and get page rank.

I post in relevant forums ,usually webmaster related, Informing them of the Directory and making sure I mention that it is SEO friendly. I submit the details to other directories, I usually try to submit to around 20 per day.

I also make sure I write a few articles and submit them to various websites I ensure that on relevant articles I put the link in my byline. By using the right article sites you can pick up backlinks from PR3,4,5 and 6 sites.

I am also interested to know what other webmasters do.

What article sites do you like best?

If the directory is free (non-reciprocal), and seo friendly, just having it listed on info.vilesilencer.com can bring good traffic, plus there are few other lists that also send some.

A good thing to start with is maybe adding your own directory to other phpLinkDirectories.
