I am ready to start building a new directory and I want to use 3.x. Is there any new major releases upcoming to wait for, or just minor improvements in the pipeline? Is the capability to do batch approvals/deletions in the admin panel in the current version, or is that a future release? I'm just trying to decide if I should buy now, or wait for a bit.

Thanks!

The major release was 3.0.4 + 3.0.5, we have now the most stable version ever!

Sure, there will be some changes in 3.0.6, but just a few lines (probably optional) to change to the submit page and payment page.
All the rest are the PHP core files and admin panel.
I cannot tell you right now what exactly and how many changes are needed.

With batch processing do you mean from shell/command-line? No, it won't be available, at least not now or I don't know about it. But a multiple processing feature is allready finished for 3.0.6 where you can select all links/categs of a page and select an action to apply (approve, deny, pending, remove, etc).

Thanks Boby, the multiple processing feature you described is exactly what I am looking for. How close is 3.0.6 to release?

Most everything is done, but we are trying not to make releases too fast.
July 15th is the soft date we have proposed.

We'll start to have a beta in the next couple of days, but it will be a few more before we go public, and we can't predict an exact release date until we have done testing on the beta (ex. find a bug that requires a lot of re-doing). The earliest will likely be about the 18th I think.

No problem, take your time because the longer the wait is, the better it will be developed :)

Thanks for the update!

I cannot afford the time to beta the update(3.06) this turn around, so whomever betas, please try and do a good job.
