Editors Mod in the Works

I just wanted to let you know that we will have an editor's mod ready in about one week. The admin will be able to assign categories to editors, and the editors will only have access to the categories they are editing, but not the rest of the admin section.

Is this equivalent to "sub-administrator" with limited powers as opposed to the almighty Administrator(s)? *smiles*

Is it possible to have another set of collaborators with more limited powers, like they could:

recommend: (edit) (move) (add subcategory) (add page)

but not be able to do (delete). Also, for this collaborators, the final approval will still be by the Administrator(s). This will be very useful for very large sites, but still be able to protect potential loss of data from an collaboration that has gone sour, or for any other reason.

I think, in both cases, there will be need for better security of the database though, like password encryption -- because the more people get access to the database with the powers suggested will increase the potential compromise of the database.
