Cannot Login to Admin

The script has been working flawlessly until today when I went to log into the admin area and received the error message "Warning: Smarty error: validate: validator id 'v_user' is not registered". I have made no changes to any files since the last time I logged in. Does anyone here have an idea as to what happened?

This problem has come up before. I searched for admin login on the forums. There were several other topics on this.

Clear your cache. When the page is opened it registers some validators so we can check if the data you're entering is within our specs. Seems like those validators aren't being loaded, so clear your cache. Shut down your browsers and restart. Let me know if this continues and I may want to have a look.
