Hi mature_student,

The page can easily be achieved by changing two files.
templates\header.tpl and templates\footer.tpl

You can use basic HTML codes to format the header and footer of the page.

what about the categories ?

the blue bar much shorter and is alligned in the centre, as well as category links. this looks much neater.

And if you want to change the font color, positioning, I would suggest editing main.css
