Featured link showing to the right of sub categories

Hi, my first request. I have searched and I cannot find the mod that I want.

like when you click on Recreation & Sports

notice how there is a big gap of nothing to the right.

I wanted to know if someone can make me a mod that displays the latest 5 featured links in that section and so forth.

Is it a hard mod??

I already did a mod similar to this. I took it one step further and provided featured links for current cat and for all children cats. For instance in sports all featured sports would list (football baseball, ect...) but within football only footbal features would list. It is available within the Mod Contributions and was done for 3.0.5. so may take a bit of tweaking for ver 2.
