Hi,
I need help creating a script that goes sequentially on each link on the directory database and captures the Alexa thumbnail image of the site and makes a local copy.
Also I don’t want the standard little image 111x82 but want the larger one 201x147 that can be found here http://www.alexa.com/data/details/main?q=www.phplinkdirectory.com&url=phplinkdirectory.com.
This image most be saved locally with the ID number of the link like this : “/thumb/20.jpg”
The script could be activated manually by the user, or be put to run automatically for example each week.
This would solve the low velocity and some times not showing of the Alexa thumbnail, as this would create a local cache, I am already doing this manually :S.
