I wanted to let you know that once you have some pagerank with your directory, you can start earning money by partnering with TextLinkBrokers.com. They will pay you to place links in your directory. I have been working with them for a few months now, and the results have been great. You are not required to add all links, but you get paid for the one's you add.
You find the details of their program here:

(Oh, and if you are trying to build pagerank for your directory, or other sites, TextLinkBrokers.com is a great company to help you do that. I can speak first hand that it worked for me on one of my important sites)

You are very welcome. I really hope others will start to monetize their directory too, because it will help guarantee their continued success, and maybe even improve our userbase here.

I applied today.
Do you get a 1 time payment for each link you add ?.
Do you have to add them as featured links ?
How often do they send you links to add to your dir ?

They have several programs available. be sure to select the 'Monetize Your Links' program. They pay a one-time fee of $5.00 per link. The listings have to appear towards the top of the page so a featured listing is probably the way to go. You can log into the control panel that they set up for you every day, and hope there is some new content to add.

Your questions are answered on this link:

Content visible to registered users only.
Read also the placement terms etc.
They paid me several times ($355 total) but I think the program was dying some months ago as I didnd't get new links to place and so I dropped it. But now I see there is one link .... but I am too busy these days.
The amount of money per perm link is ridiculous.
Is there a dependency based on PR? like a pr2 gets you 5, a pr4 gets you 10, a pr7 gets you 25 etc etc?
if not, those people are shamming.

Well, if your directory are free anyway then why not?
To input 10 links takes maybe 20 minutes, that's 50 bucks.
Providing you have a directory with good PR of course.
Well, yea, if it's a 'free' directory then by all means. But if it's one that is a pay per link, and you have a respectable pr 4-6, then I dunno. I guess its personal preference. Some people put a lot more than just a basic script up on their directory, and to them(aka me) that is like a slap in the face. just my .02

Please read the link I gave, here is an extract about that:
Content visible to registered users only.
So a sponsored is not necessary, at least I didn't do that but guess it depends on the PR of the dir. If all your sub pages is PR 2 anyway like mine it is fine, if you don't want "we would appreciate it and will place you on our "priority list." "

Hope isn't to late for this question...
Hello fellow, this is my first post, sorry because bad language,
and sorry if boring with this question.
David (or any), please explain me this exactly:
-they pay for single one link in single one category,
or
-they pay for link that is visible on each page,
or
-they pay only for link on page with PR2+?
One more time sorry because boring.
Thanks.
