I got this idea from the alexa mod.

Could it be possible to have a custom upload picture for each link?

For example you may want to have a logo for promoting your own site in the directory. thus giving the entry a more premium spot as its more likely to be seen. These pictures wont be huge, about the site of the alexa image. custom sizes would be a good thing to have. The categories could have selected images also.
