Submit your Template (Please)

It would be really nice if some people could start submitting their templates. Here is one idea: remove your logo and unique info, and then send us your template folder. We are going to start providing templates for people to use besides the boring default one soon.

Oh, and don't forget to put a link at the bottom: Designed by Me
That way when people install your template, you'll get links back to your site.

If you can submit a template, please PM me or one of the moderators of the Design forum.

David, I do think this is a WONDERFUL IDEA. I do have one little thing I'd like to add though. We can now get rid of the id numbers in the link anchor tags through admin. If you guys could work on the encoding thing for characters (like ampersands) so when they're entered into form fields they're automatically encoded when they're put in the html . . . well then we'd have a VALIDATING script, or at least I THINK that's the only issue left hanging.

One of the biggest problems the WordPress community has is themes submitted (their version of phpld templates) which don't validate and are a nightmare to debug. If we knew this script generated good xhtml, it would be easier for people building themes to debug them and make them generate valid code, and it would be easier for us to debug if there's a problem. Ask vkaryl, she did wiki duty over at WP weeding theme links off the wiki that didn't even come close to validating and may have even blown up a server or two . . .

Jeez, you WOULD have to bring up that WP wiki thing.... talk about a NIGHTMARE.... but then, they didn't want to put any "theme standards" or "plugin standards" in place, remember? I vote for a few standards myself, because it makes life SO much easier for everyone.... the users, the support staff, the debuggers....

I'll be happy to submit a tableless 2 column based on BJ's tableless 3 column template, soon as I get it whacked into shape!

I have this design called Pepermint dloaded into my server but having problems implementing it. I'm using Ver2. PM if you have any suggestions.

put the .css file in your root directory
put all the images into the images folder
unzip everything else into your templates folder.

I like that template, but the dark grey is a bit distracting from the rest of the page. Lighten it up to 4 shades darker then the grey you have on the right navigations.

We need a template for phpLD version 3.1.0 offering lots of extras. That use of the template DO NOT require the "Designer" and "Sponsor" link to remain intact on the footer of the template on all pages. I want to PAY MONEY for a template, with no strings attached. It is my opinion that FREE cost to much, why aren't there phpLD templates for SALE?

there are ones for sale just use search here or google search or go to dp forum but if you don't want the links then you have to pay to get them removed and/or probable have someone to design one for just you there are alot of designers here and on dp and its a courtesy to keep their link attached to the template
