Hi im having a little problem with the catergories side of the script , basicaly i dont need the catergories on the first page ( i have a graphical menu ), if i remove the {contents} tag it works untill you click on one of the catergories and it has no contents ( accomodation catergory for example) any ideas how i could get rid of them from the first page but include them in catergory results ?

Hmmm....I'm a little stumped on that one too. I'll try to see if I can get a programmer to look at this. Meanwhile, if you find the answer, I hope you will post it here.

i have managed it i dont know if it was the right way but it seems to work

1 open view_catergories html from the tpl folder

2 in design view delete the contents of the table
{$items[subcategory].title}

{$items[subcategory].description}

this gives you no catergories on the first page but listings in the catergories when you use the graphical menu

I'm glad you figured it out. The lead programmer is really scrambling to get 2.0 ready, and he didn't get a chance to look at your question. I apologize for that.

Well it was quite easy ( even for a dumass like me ) the only problem i have is now having some content ( image etc) in place of where the catergories were. and not having it on the catergories listing pages. any ideas ?

What about 2 If Then statements where the first runs the code with images if the category is top level and the other runs the generic code if it isnt the top level category?

This is a v1 issue, yes?
If so, please send a PM to Igonza. He is still supporting v1. He can help. Please keep me posted should you not get an answer in a timely manner.
Thanks,
David
