You mean as subdirectory names or the <h1> tag? Can you give us a link os we can have a look at it and give you some advices?
PS. Dom här killarna verkar inte vilja bygga om scriptet så att det klarar Å, Ä, Ö i första taget, så desto fler som pushar för det, desto bättre. Med andra ord, hjälp mig att klaga!!! :)

I see you problem. This is too bad. This problem was not with RC4 I think, when I installed it on a server and tested it with Å, Ä, Ö.
**censored****censored****censored****censored** someone has to take a look on this in the script. Hopefully someone will soon. We need it desperatly.

It works now when i added
"<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"> "
in top of the index.php but the text under the links is now some fontsizes bigger, weird.

Yeah, however that's only i minor fix. We still are unable to use the .ltd/mod/rewrite/function/ and more.
Guys we need this so bad!
I don't want to pay for this because if it's not part of the main script I'll propably just end up having huge problems when upgrading the script to future versions.

**censored****censored****censored****censored**, I now recognized that your directory function is working properly. Is this just from the changing of the code that you announced earlier in this thread???

Content visible to registered users only.
Thats right. But some text is now very big...

yeah, it should work fine with him changing that... the page is properly encoded.
Since it is, it'll act somewhat different, so you'll need to adjust your main.css to fit your font size needs lol

Also submit.php

Am I to understand that you finally have the fix for this? Oh happy day!
Tobab and Nobody, it would be so nice if you would add this to our wiki in the troubleshooting section so people in future can maybe get it going with a different charset without experiencing the problems you did? That would be a wonderful contribution to the community!
And Nobody, if it is indeed fixed you're gonna have to change your sig :D

I suppose! Will this fix feature the next release of the script?
Tobbe, what fixes did you do to your CSS file to make the text look right?
Tobab

p.subcats {
font-size: 8pt;
I think...

This technically isn't a "fix", just like anything you have to change the charset to match your content type.

I've added the above line at the very top of index.php and submit.php.
Sumbit page now works correct, directory home don't.
Still says "Länkkatalogen" instead of "Länkkatalogen".
What do to?
Ap0s7le
08-31-2005, 07:25 PM
That shouldn't be added TO index.php
Try changing the one in header.tpl

I did a find and replace in Dreamweaver and ended up with 3 utf code lines changed to the new code.
Oh-oh, my link directory is quite messed up right now.
Though I've changed the directory title field in the admin, however the directory home now says "Directory Home"... the title tag says My correct directory name...
sumbit.php works good though. It says the correct directory name as it supposed to do in the header. :?:
How strange!

Tried to only add that to header.tpl and that dont helped. When i added to index.php it was ok.
Btw its not many scripts that has this problem.. :?

Yeah, but this doesn't seem to be the final solution to this problem though. I don't get things working here...

Doesn't work for me either way.

I think I came upon a final solution to this during last night. 8)
I'm at work right now, but I'll return later off duty to write down complete instructions for this "mod". This is, in case I remember all the last changes that finally made things right. :P
Please hold on!
With love (and special chåräcters) from Sweden!

Also what should the Database be set to?
I'm having the same problems with Spanish but only in emails. I'm using utf-8. All emails get sent with the wrong special characters.
España instead of España
for example.
