Spoofing

Someone is exploiting the emailer function of the PHP Link Directory script to send spoof email from my domain. Does anyone have a suggestion as to how I can fix this problem?

We are working on a new version of phpLD 2 that has all libraries updated to the latest version. phpLD 3.0+ updates libs on every new release ;)

Until then, you can update your /libs/phpmailer/ with the latest package available at: http://phpmailer.sourceforge.net/

Are you sure it is exploiting your phpLD and not something else you have there running?

I'm sure. This is the only thing that I have running on that domain. Nothing else, so this is the only thing that it could be.

Are they the sending the email
1. using your server
2. using your domain name
These are not necessarily the same thing.
I have my email address spoofed every day, and there is nothing I can do about it. Nobody is exploiting my server. They are simply using my domain in the from field.

Same here, lol... I get mails from myself everyday.

I forwarded one of the messages to my web host and they seem to be on the opinion that the script is being exploited.
