Error appearing login and install screens

When I access the Install module and the login page..the following error is showing up at the bottom of the page.

Please help..I dont understand what it means and what if anything needs to be corrected.

Thanks ill check with my host on that. I am now having the very popular adobe-dbdriver...problem with the missing file error.
I searched the forum and tried to give the main folder 777 permissions and I am already using IE. I noticed that the end of my error is ...com\phpLD\install\index.php on line 207

with the problem occuring in index.php while others are having it say inip.php.

Any advice?

Also just tried to delete and reup all the files.. same error.
The only other thing i can think of that i read on the forums is to try using another version of windows since i am running xp but maybe there is something else i can try? I dont really have anywhere that i can access the install besides windows xp.

I ran into a similar problem trying to install vBulletin and resolved it by reuploading the no image files as ascii..but the same method did not work for LD. Any other suggestions...I really need to get this working but cant find the problem with my minimal experience with scripts.

Maybe something get's corrupted when you upload the files? (you already had problems with ascii/binary upload)

What FTP client are you using? Maybe try to change it and let it automatically determine that upload mode.
