getting the latest submissions via rss

I've got an rss feed on my article submission site which lists the latest articles on my blog which then pings loads of sites and the articles get quickly indexed....

I want to do something similar with my PHPLD but the rss feed I have doesn't seem to do much :(

I am using www.mysite.com/rss.phpas the feed link how can I get the latest items??
