Link is submitted for paid listings even when payment is not complete

When submitting a paid listing...the link goes through even if the paypal payment process is not completed. So it shows up in the pending links list after cancelling out of the paypal payment page.

Is there a fix for this?

Why would you want a fix? This offers you the chance to sell links at less than the posted price in forums and other places. I don't consider this a bug. I consider it an asset.

Admitted you do have to manage your directory. It is not a "turnkey" site.

Nope, it's a bug that many people know about unfortunately. I consider this less than an asset, many 'featured' links have slipped by on me... yes I did catch them... but still... If you approve a listing and miss that it has been checked 'Featured' - you're giving it away. Yes, granted, you should pay attention, but like I said, it 'can' slip by.

Thanks for the info - apparently a fair amount of people know about this 'asset' because I'm getting quite a few submitted paid listings without payment. Guess I'll have to watch things extra close.

Yes it is.

The problem in changing it IMO is that it would add a lot more complexity. You would have to have a PayPal ipn setup. This would take 3-4 more scripts to manage.

There is another thread here on site about adding an additional value to the PayPal button. I think it referred to a way to indicate the URL being paid for.

If I stumble across it again I will edit this post with the thread.
