Install Error - can't get past it

PHP Warning: Smarty error: unable to read resource: "install/main.tpl" in [web root here]/links/libs/smarty/Smarty.class.php on line 1088

I've found some info on this by searching the forum, and the main point seems to be to delete and reinstall the files. So I've done that 3 times. Also tried from Internet Explorer instead of Firefox.

Nothings seems to be working!

Hmm, can you tell me what version you're trying to install as well as the URL?

I'm using the most currently available download... 5.2

I'll PM you the address, althougth error messages are turned off - I'm pulling the error message out of the log file.

I'm getting the exact same error and trying another upload of all files. I'm running my dir on a subdirectory of my main site....


....Just finished uploading again and now the installer is working.
