View Full Version : Serious problem installing on a subdomain
Hi,
I uploaded the newest verion of the script to my subdomain where I want to run the dire.
like dir.example.com
I accesed the install page , without a problem , and the admin page is also working fine, but the main site's links point to the wrong files.
When I click submit url it points to /var/www/subdomain/dir/... and says internal server error 500
And it also can't find the css because of this

I know it can be done
http://add-url.googlepagerankings.com/
but I'm not sure what has to be changed. It is probably something in init.php
I found a few references when using the search feature here on the forums with the keyword "subdomain"

Mine have all always been in subdomains, and I didn't have to change anything to make them work. You DO have to be careful what you tell the install as to database info etc.
In fact I'm redirecting several directories in top-level domain names to a subdirectory structure on another domain - and that's working perfectly too.
You might want to reinstall....

This is a long shot.... did you make sure to update the DNS when you setup the subdomain?

I see there are some issues with the path, but it seems you have it "installed" to some degree.
Content visible to registered users only.
don't know exactly what you mean , but is set up the subdomain like a did with a biz directory subdomain and that worked fine..
How can I resolve these (path) issues?

Hello info, sounds like a pain right now.
Send me your FTP / CPanel info and I'll take a look and let you know what can be done etc.
Contact me on one of my IM's so we can get to know one another.
Thank you for your time.
