Let's suppose you have a Category called Baseball
And let's suppose you have a subcategory in Shopping > Clothing > Sports > Baseball
You can create an @link from one to the other since they are of a related topic.
Basically, all the @link module does is allow you to create a link to another category that appears as a subcategory. DMOZ uses @links.

vkaryl, I'm not brilliant but since I did the mod, I know what it does. I call it Symbolic links.
It's easier to understand with an example.
Let's say I have a category structure as such:
Comics > Marvel > Batman
and I have another category:
Entertainment > Movies > Superheroes > Batman
Now, since both the categories are related, I want users to be able to see the related categories. So, I create a @Link :
Now I have
Comics > Marvel > Batman
Comics > Marvel > @Batman movies
@Batman movies is actually a symbolic link that points to the real category in Entertainment > Movies > Superheroes > Batman.
Now, when users browse into Comics > Marvel > Batman, they will also know that there is another category for batman in the movie section.
I hope this explains the concept. Have a look at dmoz.com and you will see a lot of @links.
P/S: Oops David was faster then me :P. And yes, it is handled in the category editing menu in the admin control panel.

York Kie
