Bug report: Categories columns (Edited: Not a bug)

Another bug report:

In the admin area, there's a setting called 'Categories columns' which defaults to 2. But if I change the setting to something different, the default template will always only use 1 column, no matter what I enter there. Eg. I wanted to have 3 columns, but it didn't work. It did only show one column.

Hi Ronny, the columns setting is for the number of columns in the index page of the directory, not in the admin area. Is this a misunderstanding?

Yes, it is. Sorry for being so unclear. I mean the columns on the index page of the directory. The bug only occurs if you have few categories. Eg. if you have only 3 active categories and set the number of columns to 3, it will only display 1 column on the index page of the directory. If I have only 4 active categories and the number of columns to 3, it only uses 2 columns on the index page of the directory.
