Important: About Validating Links

I have received a message from the administrator of the vilesilencer, who maintains one of the most reputable directory lists where people can submit their sites. (http://www.info.vilesilencer.com)

He directed me to this thread:

He is saying that sometimes links are not validating properly, and that he is going to start refusing to list directories that appear to be broken. Please read over the thread, as well as do some testing on your directory to make sure everything is working properly.

FYI, Vilesilencer does NOT accept directories for submission that require reciprocal links. He also does not allow directories that do not confer pagerank, for instance, by inserting the nofollow attribute into free links. That could be part of the problem here with certain phpLD submissions, since many phpLD directories do require reciprocals and/or place nofollow attributes on "free" listings.
