Hi,

I think everyone here knows the importance of the title in terms of search engine rankings.

Here is the best way to write it (in my opinion)

Option 1: If you want your directory name to be branded and known.

In the admin panel make the title like "Nameofdir.com" or something.

open up header.tpl and insert this:

Content visible to registered users only.

Option 2: If the name is not so important and you just want to get traffic.

In the admin panel make the title like "important keyword directory" or something.

open up header.tpl and insert this:

Content visible to registered users only.

If you have your directory around a certain theme then try to vary the words of that theme.

Good luck with your dir.

I'm not sure why you'd ever want to waste your title on the URL. If people know your URL they aren't going to be searching for it. If they don't, they'll use a search engine to find you by major keywords - and that is what you want in a page title, for a directory or anything else.

Content visible to registered users only.

???

There is no URL in the title.

I saw your recent post about titles and I agreed 100% with it. This code will provide EXACTLY what you have written in that post. Thank you.
