Setup questions: CHMOD and reciprical link

Hi. I've just installed phpLD and have 2 questions.

1) The install instructions had me do a CHMOD on 2 files and 1 directory. Having completed the install, do I leave them with the new settings, or should I change them back? If I should change them back, what are the CHMOD settings I should use, as I foolishly forgot to note the original settings?

2) I've specified that a reciprical URL is required. It is very important to me that the incoming links specify anchor text. How do I change the link submission template and the link verification to allow for anchor text?

I have personally left the temp at 777, and chmoded back the config.php to 644.
