Trying to get this setup

Hi all, trying to do a new install. I uploaded everything, I then ran the install, got to the end where it says you can run the admin, when I click to begin admin I get this:
Content visible to registered users only.

Any help is appreciated.

yea i got that on my windows Xp, so i tried it on my windows 98 and it worked, i have no idea why its like that.

David I added the database details to the config file as suggested - and got rid of the initial problem - but now I am getting this when I attempt to enter the admin area:

"Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/myusername/public_html/include/functions.php on line 47"

Any ideas?

I'm on cpanel on a linux box, and it always works fine for me. What are you using?

Got it working.

I was installing it into the root directory, so i decided to install it into a subdirectory as a test and now it works fine!

So I cannot install to root directory of Public_HTML?

I've installed it many times in both root (public_html) and subdirectories without problems.
